Saturday, June 6, 2009 Went for the cooking lesson with Bao Xia yesterday. We only got to see the instructor cook and the instructor was a full-of-himself kind of person and he really talks alot! Half of what he said was unrelated to what he taught. These were the dishes we learnt: Crystal Jaded Cucumber Chicken Rice ![]() Indonesia Bali Curry Chicken ![]() Savoury White Bean Kueh ![]() We get to bring a portion of each type of food home and the chicken rice was disappointing! It was really delicious but they gave us a whole box of rice and one tiny slice of chicken. I shared the food with darling so we each got half piece of chicken. As for the curry, i also got one drumlet and 2 small pieces of chicken meat that has dropped off from other drumlets. Lucky for darling, i don't like to eat drumlets so he could have it. The curry sauce was very nice though. If i were to cook the curry, i would use chicken wing instead of drumlets. As for the kueh, it's still in my fridge. Hee. I would probably try to cook the curry and the chicken rice but not the kueh. When the teacher said we could take photos of the food he had cooked, bx said that i could take the photos and post them on my blog, which i'm doing right now. Haha. She seems to find it amusing when she talks abt blog though. Haha. She kept laughing when she talks abt my blog. She also passed me a waaay overdue christmas present, which she got from Japan, but i'm only going to set it up when i get the tealight candles from Ikea. Thanks van! |
