    This Christmas Season

I love this Christmas!! I had so much fun celebrating even before Christmas day was here.

    22 December 2008

We went to Peijun’s house for our own Christmas BBQ. We went to the NTUC at Pasir Ris to buy the things we needed. Chicken wings, chicken fillet, drinks, golden mushroom, shitake mushrooms, ham (which was used to replace bacon), cod fish fillet, chilli sauce, stay sticks, chips, etc. After that, we went to pick darling up and Peijun drive us to her house. We then prepared and marinated the food.

Meixin cooked sambal kangkong for us.
Peijun’s dog, Brownie. We fed it alot of chololates!

    The food we prepared.

We didn’t take many photos because we were busy eating and cooking the food, so most of the time, our hands were dirty.

After BBQ, we exchanged our gifts and played some games. Then it was time for dessert, which meixin brought, ICE CREAM WAFFLES!! Hee. After dessert, we continued to play games until 3am then Peijun sent us home. Haha. 可怜的姵君.

    25 December 2008

Darling and I went to Clarke Quay for dinner. He made reservation at this place called HotStones but after looking the menu, we decided to choose another place to eat at because they sold mainly beef. Anyway, we went to this place for pizza!

I love thin crust pizzas and just thinking about the pizza we had that day, my mouth will start watering. Haha. We ordered the seafood pizza, which is again my favourite again, to share and just look at it!!
Fresh prawns, mussels, and squid! The prawns were really damn fresh! YUM!

I will definitely go back for pizza again. And it’s not too expensive too. The pizza was just nice for 2 and its only $24 (not inclusive of GST and service charge). I mean, it’s about the price for pizza at pizza hut but it’s 10 times more delicious than that. Moreover, you get to dine by the Singapore river. Haha.

After that, we went for dessert at Nectarie, which is also at Clarke Quay. The food there is okay only, perhaps because we ordered the wrong dessert, and we had coffee there too. Not too bad lah, but I’ve had better desserts before.

After dessert, we came back to Tampines, intending to go to my auntie’s Christmas party then watch a midnight show. But there were no midnight shows on that day so we skipped the party and watched twilight. I don’t understand why some of my friends think that Edward is very shuai. Haha. He’s too thin and pale leh. Haha. But I think that the fact that he wants to protect the lady he loves so much is very charming.

After movie, we rented another 3 dvds back to watch, but we only watched one and we were too sleepy to continue, so we slept. Haha.

    My Christmas gift for darling.
I bought the ties with Peijun and darling likes the one she chose more. Haha. She chose the striped one.

Just came back from steamboat dinner with my JC classmates. Not all turned up but i think the attendance was not bad. Me, Judy, Cherine, Esther, Eugene, Kaiyan, Jiawei, Tim, Jonathon, Jinhai, Weejuay, Kohji and Eric, whom was missing in action for the past few years. Although we did not have much to talk about, we could still talk abit here and there. Think the atmosphere was okay lah.

It wad all fine until we decided to go for dessert after dinner. Both 记得吃 and Ah Chew were full so they decided to walk to Rochor for bean curd. In the 1st place, i wasn't really keen because i was very full already and bean curd IS very filling too. What is worse is that about 5 guys took a car and left all the girls walking to to rochor, which is a distance away from Bugis. They did not even offer to give the girls a ride, they just silently walked in another direction until we discover and that's it! GOSH!!!! I mean, okay, from what i understand, this is their behaviour in JC, ungentlemently and all, but AFTER NS?? They still have not grown up?!?! If it was my secondary school, at least i know keong wouldn't be like them, or my Uni friends, the girls will be the 1st to be given a ride, if not, at least the ride will be offered to us 1st! It's really a sad thing to see that my JC guys have yet to grow more mature. They really should start learning manners.

Shall move on to other matters. For the girls, i think we have really matured and grown alot since back in JC. A used to be timid Cherine had grown into a capable young lady. She's not working everyday after her school hours and she actually enjoys her work even though it requires her to deal with alot of people, whom she probably doesn't know. But she still hates to take photos.

Judy is going for her IA next sem and has grew to be more vain. Haha. I think it's a stage of growing up too since people do tend to pay attention to appearance when they grow older. As for Esther, she has gotten back together with her boyfriend, which is good news, and she has already secured a future job too. Life for everyone seems to be working out fine currently.

Did not manage to take a group photo since i did not go for dessert with them. But i think i'll remember this gathering for sometime, for the wrong reasons.

    December Holiday Trip 2008

Went on a holiday trip to m'sia with my family. i brought my camera but forgot my memory card so in the end, i could only take photos with my hand phone.

We went to Genting for 2 1/2 days and 2 nights before going to KL for a shopping spree for 3 1/2 days and 3 nights. After so long of not going overseas with my family, this is the most luxurious trip i went on these few years.

Went to 阿一鲍鱼 for dinner during one of our nights in Genting.

Black chicken soup. Probably the most 补one i've ever eaten. There is dried scallops, sharksfin (which i gave all to my mother), black chicken thigh and other goodies which i forgot.
One whole TINY abalone. It's really pathetically small but i've never eaten a whole abalone by myself before so i still feel pampered. Haha. The black thing beside it is sea cucumber.
Ordinary vegetable with fresh and peeled prawns, mushrooms (my fave), and scallops (if i dun remember wrongly).
Yee mee with dreid scallops, prawns, mushrooms and scallops. The ingredients they use is neither uncommon nor is there a variety, but it still makes you feel like an ancient princess eating in the palace.
BIRD NEST EGG TARTS!!! 1st time in my life i've ever eaten a birdnest tart. Maybe is i sua ku but how can i not feel like i'm from the royal family now? Heh heh.
Some thing which i did not eat. My mother said its almond paste but it looks too much like milk. *urgh*
The fog at Genting. It's really a long time since i went to Genting. Anyway, the fog is really nothing interesting but since darling had never been to Genting before, i thought i should take some photos for him to see.
Some really cute cupcakes and gingerbread cookies from one of the bakeries there.
Couldn't resist Starbucks any where. Look at the cute mini cups they have!! It's for iced water or milk when you ask for them. I koped one and kept it in my bag but it got crushed.
Went to some temple with my parents. Tried to take a photo of my parents here but my handphone not powerful enough so i could only see their shadows. Abit scary. Took more photos of the scenery for darling.

At KL!! Our room at Kl is very very very big!! Haha. As u can see, we have living room, which the extra bed was placed in for my sister and a bed room. Even the toilet was luxurious. One is the bathing side, with a bath tub and a standing shower, the other side is the toilet part, with a sitting toilet bowl for females and another one for males to pee standing (i don't know wad it is supposed to be called).

    Now on to my 战利品sss.

These are only some of the clothes i have bought and i really really love the skirt!! Which goes very well with the white top. Hee. I got some other tops and bottoms as well but i was in a hurry to pack up so i did not take photos of them.

This Carlo Rino bag was going at 60% off!! Had to buy it!!

Haha. 3 for the px of 2. Since me and my sister were interested in reading and i read the 1st book, might as well buy right? Hee.

Bought this for darling. Crocodile hor. Haha. Actually my father paid for it and i chose it, so strictly speaking, my father bought it for him. But darling was unexcited when he received it and said Crocodile is for uncles. He is one what. Anyway, it was at 50% off~!

Free christmas bear from a restaurant we went to, called The Ship, which is famous for its beef. Did not take any photos at the restaurant because my handphone went dead that day and i did not want to leave it in the room to charge it while we went shopping. Isn't it cute?

My greatest achievement!!! 6 pairs of shoes!! Woots!!! The shoes there are damn cheap i tell you. All are around RM20+, except for the pairs of Birks. I love all these new shoes!! Muack them all.

M'sia KL is really having crazy sales right now!! 20%, 50%, 60% and even 70% off!! Should really go there during this season if you can afford the time people! But darling says we should spend more money in Singapore to boost the local economy. So people, GO SHOPPING!!

We really is 吃好的,住好的 in M'sia because my father is more generous and more willing to spend money on us. Probably to make up for all the time he missed out in our daily lives. But it's damn useless. "Time = Money" only in business terms. Time is not equal to quality time spent with family and kids. One important lesson i learnt from him.

    Thank you darling,

For taking out time to help me build a small chest of drawers for my closet.

For buying the bag which i have eyed for weeks.

For leaving work early to help me prepare and practise for my interview.

My boyfriend is the BEST! *Smiles*

My father brought back a free weekly planner from one of his suppliers. I took it, removed the ugly cover and decorated it myself! Took me less then one hour to do it.

    Tah Dah!!
